A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Ilford this afternoon (10 January).

Emergency services arrived at Ilford Lane at 3.17pm following reports of stabbings.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene where they found a boy with a knife wound.

The boy, believed by police to be 15, was taken to a hospital in east London.

A spokesman for the Met later confirmed that the teen's injuries were not life-threatening.

The area has been cordoned off during the police investigation. A Met Office spokesman said:
